Overview
LiquidLyf is a modern, user-friendly mobile application built to streamline the process of blood donation. The platform serves as a real-time bridge between individuals in urgent need of blood and a network of volunteer donors. By leveraging location-based services, it ensures that help is always within reach when every second counts.
Technical Features
- Real-Time Database Integration: Utilizes Firebase Realtime Database to manage and synchronize donor information and blood requests instantaneously.
- Secure Authentication: Implements Firebase Auth to manage user registration, login, and secure profile updates.
- Smart Donor Matching: Features a system that filters and identifies potential donors based on blood group compatibility and proximity.
- Comprehensive Request Management: Allows users to create, track, and manage blood requests, including status updates from "Pending" to completion.
- Interactive Map Services: Integrates Google Play Services Maps to provide accurate location-based donor searching and hospital tracking.
Project Architecture
The application is built using a modern Android architecture with Kotlin as the primary language. It follows a modular structure where specific activities handle core processes such as registration, profile management, and blood requesting, while fragments are utilized for the main dashboard and settings interfaces. Data models ensure consistent handling of user profiles, blood request details, and donor availability across the platform.
